Skin Rejuvenation
How IPL Treatment Works:
Intense pulsed Light (IPL) uses heat and a broad wavelength of light to improve the colour and texture of your skin without surgery. It can undo some of the visible damage caused by sun exposure, called photoaging. You may notice it mostly on your face, neck, hands, or chest. IPL treats the following conditions:
- Sun damage
- Sun spots/freckles
- Broken capillaries/vessels and spider veins
- Stimulates collagen to assist in anti-aging and improves fine lines and wrinkles
- Rosacea
- Pigmentation
What to expect:
During your treatment it may feel like a tiny rubber band snapping against your skin, and a slight warm sensation. You may also experience mild discomfort after the procedure, such as redness and sensitivity – similar to mild sunburn and sometimes slight scabbing on pigmented conditions.
Depending on the condition being treated, treatments are done over a course of 3 – 6 treatments every 4 weeks. Thereafter maintenance as needed.
